We got a Tree

So we came home from work the other day to find a tree planted in our front yard. Apparently the builder gives every house a tree, but they decide where it goes. Luckily they put ours next to the electrical boxes on the side of the house, but our poor neighbor got theirs right in line with their front door.


We also went out and got a carpet for the kitchen for under the table and in front of the sink, but turns out our table is bigger than i thought so we are going to have to buy a bigger one, but this one should work for now.

Hardwood Installed in the Kitchen

We took this picture a few weeks before Halloween. We found a really nice nursery where we got the mums.

So we finally decided on swapping the vinyl flooring for hardwood. It took us a week to pull out all of those staples once we got the vinyl and boards out becuase the builders had them every 2 inches! Then the flooring contractor came this past weekend and told us we didn't need to take them out, we could've just hammered them in....oh well :) Now the transition from the foyer to the kitchen is seamless.





We have 2 boxes of hardwood left over, so eventually we might try to install it ourselves in the office. We also have the powder room prepped and ready to be painted.
