Recessed Lighting Installed
I began the installation of the recessed lights. I've finished the main basement, still need to do the theater though.
I installed 14 6" cans in the main 8' celiing area, two 6" cans in the arcade, 3 5" cans on the 7' ceiling area, 1 5" can on the 7' ceiling area leading to the theater hallway, 2 6" cans in the hallway of the theater/bathroom, 4 4" cans against the wall on the 7' ceiling and 3 4" cans over the bar area.
All the lights will be normal soffit lights, except the 4 4" cans against the wall which will be eyeball lights to shine light on pictures against the wall.
I still need to install the 6 6" cans, 6 5" cans and 5 4" cans in the theater.
I bought a lutron grafikeye 3106 for the theater, which will allow me to control the light levels for all lights with a simple button push on my remote.
The rest of the basement will use dimmable light switches which can also be controlled via remote, just not with as many options as in the theater.
Here is a shot looking down the length of the basement. The flash helps show where all the lights are.

Here's a shot showing the spacing of the lights in the main 8' ceiling. They are 2' from each side wall and about 4' between eachother.

Here are the two lights over the arcade area, 2' from the walls and 5' between eachother.

You can make out 3 of the 4 4" wall wash cans on the back of the soffit in this pic. Once drywall is up, I'll install the eyeball covers and direct them at posters on the wall. They're spaced evenly along the wall, about 4' beween eachother.

Here are the three 4" cans that will be over top of the bar.

Lastly is another shot looking down the length of the basement:
