Water Damage Update

Here is an email I got back from our realtor about the water damage at the house:

---------------------------

Hello Nick;
I went to the house to see the water problem and spoke with the Forino people working there. The one who is named Roufus , examined the areas with me to see what the issue was. The problem is that the exterior walls had not been prepared yet with waterproofing layer that goes under the stucco covering, so the windows have not been sealed as of now. Fastening tape on the exterior around the window seems to be channeling the water into the window edge. Wind had been blowing the rain against that side of the house, so that is where it came in. The Forino guy said he thought that the best thing to do is for them to replace the damaged drywall once the exterior is sealed. I will follow up with the builders agent to see that they attend to having the appropriate repairs done.
I will relay your message about the double oven cabinet being incorrect. I do not believe it is fully installed yet, since they were still fitting it when I left later in the afternoon.

So we'll have to make sure this happens. Also, they added the cabinets above the fridge last night.... pretty sure they're fully installed now ... so hopefully they can rip out the oven cabinet without too much trouble.

You'll also notice there is no crown molding on the cabinets yet.... the builder wanted $750 for chincy plain molding... we figured we'd do it ourself with a nicer molding once we move in... add it to the list of "Honey Dos"!
