Recent Pics

Well it's been a long time since we posted anything. We've been in the house for 4 months now and so far so good. No major complaints to report. But our compture did crash so we weren't able to upload any pictures for awhile. So, here are a few pictures that we took in the past couple of months.

This is the foyer and off to the left is a living room and the right is the dining rom. We have lots of pictures and iron hangings that are still waiting to be hung up throughout the house. When we finally get around to it, we will hang 2 big pictures in the foyer (one for each side) and then frame them with moulding and then finish painting the walls.

This is the the dining room. Nick made the box moulding and installed a new chandelier to dress it up a little and then I painted. We went with a yellow to warm it up a bit and we plan on carrying that color throughout the house. Except for one of the spare bedrooms, I'm still trying to convince Nick to let me paint it this nice blue/gray color I found :)

Here's a picture of our kitchen and the new stainless steel appliances that we bought. Nick had a heck of a time installing the dishwasher and the builder cracked our oven cabinet when he was trying to install the ovens, so we had to wait a month before we got that fixed and a bigger cabinet installed that could support the ovens. Nick also installed the other companion chandelier above the kitchen table. The room to the right is the family room.











Behind our house is an apple orchard and then corn further down the line.

Here's a pic of the upstairs hallway from the back staircase. We did a lot of painting and swapping of light fixtures throughout the house. We are standing in the Master bedroom doorway. We had them make it a double door entrance which made it nice for moving the mattres and frame in. The door straight ahead is the laundry room, the one 90 degrees from that on the right is a spare bedroom, and then the bathroom and then another spare bedroom. There is also another bedroom to the left of the laundry room on the front side of the house. I'll post more pictures of these rooms once we get them loaded onto the computer.
